“ I've been coming here for awhile now since I had good service. Recently the employees are not near as friendly as in the past. I ordered my food twice now to go and and for a super spicy sauce. They said they will put it in the bag and now twice, they have not done it. In the past they would always give me little chilies which were extremely hot and that's what I enjoy. I have to admit the food was good but the service and not adding the chilis will turn me away. ”
“ Overall, the food is not bad. When they first opened, I was getting (ordering) mostly the chicken rice set or half & half rice set. Kinda like the Thai dishes, so been get that for years. However, during covid, the mango sticky rice wasn't fresh. So, I stopped coming for a while. Came back this year (2024). They're still decent. A solid choice for lunch or dinner. Food: Orange Chicken with Rice 4.5/5 (One of the better tasting orange chicken. Suits my taste. I like it) Pad Thai with Chicken & Shrimp 4.25/5 (Used to order this all the time. Sort of a staple comfort food for me) Pad Thai with Chicken 4/5 (Adding shrimp is $3 extra, chicken is $1 more) Drinks: Thai Iced Tea 4/5 Lemonade 4/5 Longan Drink 4/5 Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice 4/5 (It was good, but had a bad experience one time. Average out to 4 out of 5) Pro Tip/Note: If you order online, they charge a convenience fee Also, they don't honor the Yelp check-in deal (free Thai tea for order over $20). Business owner said it was from a long time ago. ”
“ Definitely a hidden gem in San Gabriel! It doesn't have a big door, not much decorations in the store, nothing fancy at all, but very practical. The combo meal comes with generous portion of chicken, you can choose soup or salad which you can ask for your spicy level. The chicken is tender, the fried one battered perfectly. The server always comes with smiles, although she is the only person for the entire dining room, she manages. I'll be back. ”
“ I ordered the half-and-half rice set, and the chicken was incredibly tender. It was fried to a perfect crisp, and when paired with their green papaya, it tasted very refreshing. ”
“ I love that my usual lunch lady knows our usual orders hehehe. Reminds me of those old school diner ladies who knows all her regulars! Today I steered away from my usual for the first time which lunch lady was pleasantly surprised but happy to see the change. She's been wanting me to try other menu items. Little does she know, I usually do only when I'm with a bigger group and it's usually during dinner when she's not working. Love this place!!! Hope they continue to do well for years to come! Great food, great people, even greater value! ”

“ Red Chicken is stand alone building located in the corner next to the Sam Woo and O'Reilly Auto Parts plaza on Las Tunas. There is minimal parking in the lot in the back, but there should be plenty of street parking. We came in for dinner at around 6 PM on a week night and the restaurant had minimal people and no wait. However, we noticed a bunch of take out orders lined up and as the night went on, a lot of people were coming in and out to pick up their food. This must be a very popular restaurant for take out. The server was very friendly and took our order. My wife ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and I ordered the Spicy Basil with Pork, spicy level spicy. My wife enjoyed her Pad Thai and I really enjoyed my spicy basil. The pork was flavorful and the spicy level was on point. A few days later, we called to place a small party tray for Pad Thai and party tray of 40 Satay Chicken. The Pad Thai comes with the toppings separated out on top in case you want to take something out. Otherwise, you can mix it up after. It also came with lemon and peanuts on the side. The satay chicken came with satay sauce in a separate container and another sauce with cucumber in it. Our group of friends really enjoyed both dishes and it was enough for about 6-7 people. If you want to place a party tray order, call in advance and give them a couple of days. We called about two days in advanced. Overall, we had a good experience at Red Chicken. We enjoyed the food and definitely will be back! ”
“ Dropping a 5 spot for this Hainan style chicken + rice gem! Highlights: - great portion size. I eat a lot and I left very full - fried chicken was excellent and was exactly what I wanted. Not a "katsu" style but a Chinese style fry. Loved it!! - soup healed my soul - lots of sauce, great variety Lowlights - regular chicken had some gummy/unsavory parts. But it was later in the night and i'm not holding it against them. They go through a lot of chicken throughout the day - wish there was more rice ”
“ Been coming to Red Chicken every other weekend for almost the last year! I've tried their Hainan Chicken (Steamed, Fried, and Grilled) and I love it! Portions are a good size and the sauces they give you are amazing! You can get half and half any way you like it. If you get their combo, you get a choice of their soup or their papaya salad!! Their crying tiger is my 2nd go to dish there. I recently got the small party tray of steamed dark meat for Thanksgiving and it was a hit! Everyone loved it and the price wasn't bad at all! Workers there are always amazing and attentive Cant wait to go back again! ”
